Hamburger/Veggie Soup
1# lean hamburger
1 sm onion
2 garlic cloves diced
splash of Worchestershire Sauce
pinch of chili powder
12 oz tomato sauce or 1 lg can of V-8
1 can diced tomatoes
small hd cabbage or 1/3 lg hd
2 carrots (omit for Phase 1)
2 celery stalks
2 sm zucchini
1 turnip
2 c green beans
3 chicken cubes
2 bay leaves
parsley
1/2 tsp basil
1/2 tsp oregano
1 tsp Mrs Dash
pepper to taste
Brown hamburger, onion, garlic, drain if needed. Add splash of Worcestershire
Sauce,
pinch of Chili Powder, tomato sauce OR V-8, diced tomatoes, basil, oregano, Mrs. Dash,
pepper, chicken cubes, parsley, stir to blend together. Then add cabbage, carrots, celery,
zucchini, turnip, and green beans (if using fresh), if using canned green beans add last 5
minutes of cooking time.
Total cooking time shouldn't be over 45 minutes from start to finish. (having already
prepared veggies)
