Drunken Shrimp
16 large shrimp
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup olive oil
1 large onion, peeled and sliced
salt and pepper to taste
Juice of ˝ lemon
1 lemon, seeded and thinly sliced
1/2 cup dry white wine
Peel and devein shrimp, leaving the tails on. In a large skillet sauté the garlic in the
olive oil for 2 minutes. Add the sliced onion and salt and pepper. Sauté until the onions
become transparent. Add shrimp and sauté for 2 minutes, or until shrimp turn pink. Add
lemon juice, the lemon slices, and white wine, and cook for another 2 minutes.
Remove from skillet and let cool to room temperature.
