SWISS CHARD AND BEAN SOUP

2 Tbs olive oil
1 bunch green onions, finely chopped
1- 16 oz can peeled tomatoes, pureed
1 - 16 oz can cooked white beans with liquid 1/2 cup long grain white
or
brown rice
4 cups vegetable bouillon broth
1 tsp dried or 2 tsp fresh, chopped basil 2 garlic cloves, pressed
Salt & pepper to taste
1/2 lb fresh Swiss chard leaves, washed & chopped
Heat olive oil in large soup pot over med heat. Add onions and saute
about 1 minutes. Add remaining ingredients except Swiss chard. Bring to
boil
Reduce heat to low and cover . Simmer about 10 minutes, stirring
occasionally. Add Swiss chard and simmer another 5-10 minutes.
