Cream of Chipped Beef on Toast
4½ oz. of dried beef, can or package
1 and 1/2 cup milk
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup cream of corn, can
2 tablespoon soy sauce
¼ cup flour
Salt and pepper to taste
6 slices toasted bread
Melt butter in pan, add flour and simmer to a paste, add milk,
soy sauce, salt and pepper to taste stirring rapidly, bring to a medium boil.
Remove from heat and lower heat to simmer.
Add cooked dried beef and creamed corn,
return to heat simmering 40 minutes stirring often.
Thin with water as needed. Serve over dry toast.
