| LOL This one is sent in by Minibites daughter.. and yes, I can see
all this going on! Perfected my new toddler recipe and thought you might want
to add it to your site maybe? I just threw this together and Zack LOVES it so it's a tried
and true hit already.
Pea-sketti N Cheese

Your kid loves spaghetti but you can't stand cleaning up marinara sauce. What do you do?
Hmmm.
Ingredients:
1 package ramen noodles - flavor doesn't matter
About 1/2 a can of mixed peas and carrots
A handful of shredded cheese
Preparation Time:
5 minutes
Directions:
First, you should always tie the toddler up so he stays away from the stove. Or, strap him
into his highchair, whichever works for you. I recommend tying because the highchair
straps don't actually mean a thing to an 18-month-old on the go.
Bring water to a rolling boil. Now, it doesn't matter how much water really... Enough to
cover the noodles. But, who has time to measure out anything when you're chasing the
toddler that just escaped from his highchair?
When the water is boiling, add the noodles. I recommend breaking them up first or there
will be some lovely noodle whipping going on during mealtime. Throw the season packet in
the cupboard and save it for potroast or something later. Press the microwave timer to 3
minutes and run after the kid who has by now, taken his diaper off and is heading out the
back door.
When the microwave beeps, drain the noodles in the sink and set them back on a hot (but
off) burner. Add the veggies and cheese and give it a good mix. Viola! Pea-sketti N
Cheese. |
