2 pkgs. dry yeast
1 1/2 c. warm water
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
4 c. flour
1 egg, beaten
Coarse salt
Mix together all the ingredients, except the coarse salt.
Knead the mixture until it's rubbery, like dough. Pull off small pieces and
roll into different lengths. On cookie sheet, twist lengths of dough into
heart shapes. Coat your shapes with the beaten egg, then sprinkle on coarse
salt. Place pretzel dough in oven and bake at 425 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes
or until golden.
