2 lb. beef round steak
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce with cheese
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 lg. potatoes, cut in eighths
6 carrots, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 c. coarsely chopped celery
1/2 med. green pepper, chopped
1 med. onion, chopped
1 slice white bread crust cubed
Trim excess fat from beef; cut into 1 inch squares. Combine
beef, 1 cup water and remaining ingredients in Dutch oven; mix thoroughly.
Bake tightly covered, in preheated 250 degree oven for 5 hours. Stir once or
twice during cooking period.
