CHRISTMAS COOKIES 2

1 c. shortening
2/3 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. eggs
3 c. sifted flour

 

Combine shortening, sugar, salt, vanilla and eggs and beat until smooth and light. Stir in flour. Wrap in waxed paper and chill at least 2 hours. Remove 1/3 of dough at a time. Roll out 1/4 to 3/8 inch thick on slightly floured surface. Cut into desired shapes with Christmas cutters.

Bake on cookie sheets in a moderate 350 degree oven 12 to 15 minutes. Do not allow to get brown. Remove from cookie sheet. Makes 18 to 20 cookies
