Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Serves 4.
6 large baking potatoes
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup butter
2 cloves of minced garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
1. Wash and peel potatoes.
2. Cut into 1 inch pieces and put into large pan.
3. Cover with water and bring to a boil.
4. Turn stove down to halfway and let potatoes simmer for 20 minutes
(or until you test them
if they seem soft, they are done).
5.Remove potatoes from heat and pour into a strainer.
6. Transfer potatoes to bowl and add half of the milk and all of the butter.
7. With a mixer, beat potatoes until fluffy and there are minimal lumps.
8. Add the rest of the milk, garlic, and salt and pepper and beat for another
five minutes, constantly scraping the sides of the bowl.
