FROZEN CHERRY DESSERT

1 (13 1/2 oz.) box vanilla wafers
2/3 c. melted butter
2 tbsp. sugar

 

Crush wafers; add butter, sugar and put in greased cake pan (pat it down lightly) and bake for 8 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool.

 

SECOND LAYER:

 

2 pkgs. Dream Whip
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 lg. pkg. cream cheese, softened

 

Whip Dream Whip as box directs. Add powdered sugar and cream cheese together, then fold into beaten Dream Whip and beat by hand until blended. Pour this on vanilla wafer crust. Use 2 or 1 large can of pie filling mix and spread evenly on top. Cherry is the best, but any other fruit filling will do. NOTE: This dessert is best when fixed and put in the freezer or overnight, then serve slightly frozen.
