| ALMOND KISS COOKIES Submitted by: Thomas James Ellefson 40 HERSHEY®'S KISSES® with Almonds Chocolates 1/2 cup Butter or margarine, softened 1 egg 1/2 cup Granulated sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar packed 1 tsp almond extract 2 cups All-purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 1 1/4 cups Finely chopped slivered Almonds (optional) ++++Glaze+++ 1 cup Powdered sugar 1 Tbs milk 4 tsp rasberry jam 1/4 tsp almond extract 1. Almond Kiss Cookies 2. ''Bite into one of these almond cookies, and you'll find a sweet chocolate kiss. Each cookie is rolled in sugar for a festive touch.'': 3. Heat oven to 325 degrees F. 4. Remove wrappers from chocolates. 5. Beat butter, egg,granulated sugar and almond extrat in large bowl until fluffy. 6. Add flour and almonds; beat on low speed of mixer until well blended. 7. Using about 1 tablespoon dough for each cookie, shape dough 1inch balls roll in hand to make ball. 8. Place on ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. 9. Immediately press a kiss into the center of each cookie. 10. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are set but not browned. 11. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. 12. Cool completely. 13. Combine glaze ingredients and drizzle over cookies. 14. Store in tightly covered container. |
