Pancakes
Sift:
One cup white or wheat flour
1 and 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Beat:
One egg
1 teaspoon sugar or 1 tablespoon corn syrup
1 cup regular milk or buttermilk
1 teaspoon oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
Add and stir gradually to flour and baking powder to make smooth paste.
Spoon into a medium hot frying pan using a small amount of cooking oil, margarine or
butter, flip pancakes when outer ring starts to brown.
