2 tbsp. oil
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
1 c. chili sauce (plus or minus)
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. dark molasses (Black Strap or Brer Rabbit)
1/4 c. vinegar
2 shakes Worcestershire sauce (plus or minus)
Dash of salt
Heat oil in pan (medium heat) add onion, cook until tender.
Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling. Simmer over low. Heat for 10
minutes.
Sauce should be tangy, sweet and sour and used liberally
at last stage of barbecue. Also use for barbecue sandwiches.
