BBQ’d Hamburgers Ala Tom

 Ingredients:

 2 lbs of lean hamburger
2 eggs mixed with ½ cup of milk
½ cup BBQ sauce …your choice
1 cup of breadcrumbs
2 tbsp Worchester sauce
½ cup Soya sauce  
2 cups of shredded Mozzarella cheese
1 large Spanish onion (minced in chopper)
½ cup of chili powder
3 tbsp granulated garlic

Preparation:

Put hamburger into a large mixing bowl and loosen up the meat
Mix in …½ cup BBQ sauce, 2 tbsp Worchester sauce…
½ cup Soya sauce … minced Spanish onion… ½ cup of chili powder
3 tbsp granulated garlic… 2 beaten eggs with milk...
and the 1 cup of breadcrumbs.
Mix these ingredients thoroughly together.

If you have a hamburger press you are a lucky one…
If you don’t have a hamburger press

MAKE WITH 28 oz TIN
But you have a 28 oz can lying around that’s opened.
I have used an empty 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes with success.
You can cut the lid off with a can opener and use this
for cutting out your burgers, so that they are all the same size 
around.
Make a patty about ¼ inch making it bigger then the 28 oz tin opening.
Press can opening on top of the patty and cut out… peel away excess meat around the tin first before removing the rounded patty.
Sprinkle the cheese on top of the patty and make another patty the 
same way as you did the first one.
Do the rest of the meat mixture the same way as you did the first one.
You may need more shredded cheese but that’s ok too.

MAKE BY HAND

If you don’t have a 28 oz tin lying around…
Then you will have to pat them out by hand …
Measure out about a cup of burger mix and roll into a ball…
Pat the burger down until it is flattened to about a ¼ inch …
Sprinkle the top of the flattened burger with some shredded 
mozzarella cheese.
Make another patty like you did the first one and place it on top
of the patty with the cheese on it … press them together.
Do the rest of the meat mixture the same way as you did the first one.
You may need more shredded cheese but that’s ok too.
