Mental Pictures

I am going to paint a vision here
As seen through eyes, of a person that is blind
I envision that I am entering their head
And settling in their mind
The canvas that I use for this
Is a murky black, cause that is what they see
So my friend just close your eyes
And vision my scenery

With fine tipped brush I paint a line
To separate land, from the heavens above
With a pale blue paint the atmosphere is done
Fluffy bellowing clouds, ah yes, see the loving doves
Now I paint a lake below
With waters so still, not ripple do you see
Oh look my friend an island is formed
With a log cabin, surrounded by pine trees

A smile emerged upon her face
And she said, 'Oh please do paint me, some more'
I replied, 'What would you like to see my love?'
'Paint for me my children, playing by the shore'
In a short while I had it done
And a tiny tear formed in her eyes
She said, ' Oh thank you ever so much'
'I finally seen my children play,
this is a blessing in disguise'

'Please paint me water lilies'
'Floating on waters so still and blue'
'I not only painted them my love
'Here, I have picked one just for you'
She threw her arms around me
And hugged me very tight
A gentle kiss of kindness for
Letting her see through my eyesight
